The hot water only lasted for two quick showers, which was a bit disappointing. be aware that the roads leading to the hotel are very twisty and high, which might be a challenge for nervous drivers.

The hosts, Andrea and Antonia, are fantastic and friendly, always ready to offer advice on amenities and local walks. The apartment is well-stocked, with even two types of coffee makers available. It is also conveniently located just a minute's walk from a grocery store. There is an authentic small-town life happening everyday, making it a refreshing break from the usual tourist areas. It is also a great base for various hikes in the mountains of Gran Canaria. I highly recommend Apartamentos El Motor for a wonderful stay in Gran Canaria's sweet spot.

They had equipped the apartment with everything we could possibly need, with spare batteries, walking poles, guidebooks, and many other useful extras. They live upstairs from the apartment and were always available if needed to help us out. The supermarket couldn't have been handier – it is right next door. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and convenient stay in Tejeda.
